Big thanks to John Taylor for hosting the annual staff volleyball tournament Thursday Jan 30^th  2020. There were 10 teams represented this year.

The Urban High School Athlete of the Week is Brook Duncalfe of the Sturgeon Heights Huskies volleyball team. She led her team to the McDonald's AAAA JV Girls Provincial Championship. In the finals she finished the match with 5 aces, 14 kills and passed 2.30, earning MVP honours.

Huskies are Provincial Champs

Congratulations to the Sturgeon Heights Huskies on capturing the AAAA JV Girls MHSAA Provincial Volleyball Championship on Monday November 25th at the University of Manitoba. The Lady Huskies defeated the Westwood Warriors 3-0  - 25-19, 25-18, 25-22.

In addition St James Assiniboia was well represented on the allstar ballot.
